John KingJohn King is a third grade teacher at Sublimity Elementary School. He received his undergraduate degree from Oregon State University and then graduated from Pacific University with a Masters in Education in 2010. In high school, Mr. King completed a two year project of working with 5th grade students during a community service activity. It is then that he found his desire to work with kids. Mr. King has worked with learners of all ages through camps, tutoring, and teaching. He enjoys critiquing and mastering the art of teaching, which he works on regularly in his own classroom. When he is not teaching, Mr. King enjoys spending time with his family. Some of his favorite activities with his daughter Emma and wife McKenzie are camping, exercising, and listening to Emma giggle. Mr. King is always looking forward to exploring the dynamic and intriguing world of science. So join him this summer as he creates, explores, and analyzes the different components of science!

Dan RottMt. St Helens
Dan Rott is a biology teacher at Tualatin High School. He graduated from Gonzaga University with a Bachelors of Science in Biology with minors in History and Classical Civilizations. After a year of substitute teaching in Hawaii, he graduated from Pacific University's Masters of Teaching program in June, 2010. Mr. Rott enjoys traveling, reading, outdoor recreational activities, and adventures. He has climbed Mt. Adams, spent a week in the backcountry of Alaska, backpacked through a majority of Europe, visited numerous national parks, run eight marathons, and loves science!
